GERMAN newspaper Berliner Morgenpost published a lengthy article about the countries which have become the new coronavirus hotspots. They also pointed out that the Balkans are the latest problem, specifically Serbia and Croatia. They state that the World Health Organization is also warning about that.

Vucic is also being mentioned

Serbia was highlighted as the largest new coronavirus hotspot in Europe thanks to "politicians who allowed mass gatherings," which resulted in Greece banning the entry into the country for Serbia's citizens.

It was pointed out that "the non-conservative politics of the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic led to the Belgrade riots." Another hotspot mentioned was North Macedonia.

Croatia fought off the epidemic, but then the number of coronavirus cases started to increase rapidly

When it comes to Croatia, it was stated that "since June 25, the number of coronavirus cases had been increasing rapidly," and before that, it was considered that the epidemic was over.

They stated that the turning point was the spread of the virus in the Djakovo monastery. Still, the coronavirus hotspots are mostly in Zagreb and the east of Croatia with no hotspots on the Adriatic coast.

"Vacation regions such as Istria and Dalmatia are less affected," the German newspaper stated.
