THE PREREQUISITES for re-opening of the clubs on Zrce beach after the beginning of the COVID-19 virus have been closely monitored on the most famous Croatian party beach, in close communication with the competent epidemiologists and authorities. Just now, when the prescribed decisions, measures, and recommendations allow it, the opening of the summer club season can start - in the first week of July, the clubs Kalypso, Papaya and Nomad are opening their doors, while the club Noa has been operating for the last ten days.

One of the most recognizable club destinations in the world - Zrce beach - for the last 20 years has been actively developing various tourism offers, music festivals, recreational content, and other events, and with its activities attracts foreign investors, raises the quality and helps to develop the entire destination of the town of Novalja and the island of Pag. In the usual circumstances, club tourism on Zrce is marked by high attendance, with more than 13,000 guests recorded in some periods of the season, so it was inevitably affected hard by the coronavirus crisis. The summer season usually starts as soon as mid-May, Zrce representatives pointed out.

“We believe that the opening of this summer season is one of the key segments of keeping the continuity of tourist arrivals and visits, and thus a successful next season. The destination is kept up-to-date, and the arrival of interested guests who have been visiting Croatia and Zrce beach for many years can remain uninterrupted,” said Tea Cafuta, the representative of the Zrce clubs.

Croatia allows indoor events under strict regulations and certain conditions, so according to that, it’s even more important to point out that the advantage of Zrce clubs is that all of their events and club programs take place exclusively outdoors, and they have the large square footage, which enables keeping the physical distance properly, they pointed out. At the same time, Switzerland allows gatherings up to a thousand people indoors, while Italy also allows outdoor events with respect to physical distance, even though it was one of the most affected countries.

“Tourists, as well as domestic guests, who will visit the Croatian coast this summer can feel just as safe in Zrce clubs as to when going shopping, using public transport, staying in hotels or apartments, or going to the beach. For the safe and epidemiologically controlled clubs working outside, Zrce beach facilities will follow all prescribed measures and recommendations and carefully monitor the further development of the situation in order for all the operating segments of operating to be kept under full control. The clubs have a detailed plan of compliance with the COVID-19 measures, which primarily includes strict control of entry, monitoring guests at all points within the facility, and the number of people by zones. The hygienic measures will be complied with, which include installing disinfectants on every entrance in the object, in restrooms, next to/on each bar within facilities, disinfection of work surfaces, and the entire space, as well as checking the temperature of employees and guests at the entrance. Furthermore, there are measures to regulate physical distance upon entering the object, the distance between tables, reduce the number of chairs, the possibility of keeping guests in certain places, and all other measures which enable meeting the requirements for safe work, as well as relaxed entertainment of its guests,” Zrce representatives said.

They also said that Zrce clubs enjoy complete support of the county, town, and the local community, and especially all of those who are in some way related to the beach - from the owners of restaurants, bars, apartments, and tourist agencies to local and foreign partners. The communication between the management of the clubs in close collaboration with the epidemiologists and competent institutions takes place regularly, which means monitoring the changes and decisions of the Croatian Coronavirus Task Force, instructions and recommendations of the Croatian Public Health Institute, and the way of work is adjusted and changed following the situation. In the end, it’s the only way to ensure a responsible and relaxed club entertainment this summer within the epidemiological framework, they concluded.
