Lufthansa will fly to Dubrovnik again starting June
GERMAN airline Lufthansa announced the relaunching of its fleet in June with flights to different tourist destinations, including Dubrovnik.
"In the second half of June, Lufthansa will be reintroducing flights to 20 tourist destinations," Lufthansa spokesman confirmed to the Bild am Sonntag daily.
Among the destinations, in addition to Mallorca, Crete, Venice, Rhodes, and Ibiza, is also Dubrovnik.
Ongoing negotiations due to financial difficulties
A total of 160 of the 760 aircrafts from the Lufthansa fleet and the fleets of companies such as Eurowings and Swiss, which are part of this business concern, will relaunch their flights in June.
At the same time, negotiations are underway between the state and Lufthansa in order to rescue Germany's largest airline, which has fallen into financial difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to some information, the Government plans to help Lufthansa with about nine billion euros. In return, the state would, at least for some time, enter the Lufthansa ownership structure.
