"I wouldn't have the guts": A man walks down the Biokovo skywalk, check out the video
RECENTLY, the Biokovo Skywalk has been opened in the Biokovo Nature Park, and photographer Matko Begovic was among the first ones to walk down the horseshoe-shaped glass promenade connected to a cliff.
He recorded everything in a video he posted on his Facebook profile.
"I admire those who dare walk on this glass, no matter how safe it is," "I would freeze in fear if someone left me there. I admire those who are able to enjoy it," "Wonderful, but I wonder if I would have the guts to walk on it," read some of the comments.
The Skywalk is part of the project "New Adrion - Promoting the sustainable use of the natural heritage of the Biokovo Nature Park", funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the operational program "Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014 - 2020", and it is the largest and most financially expensive project in the history of the Biokovo Nature Park.
The total value of this project amounts to approximately € 4.1 million, including grants from the European Structural and Investment Funds which amount to around € 3.57 million.
Skywalk Biokovo is located in the southwestern part of the Biokovo Nature Park, in the area of Ravna vlaska, at an altitude of 1228 meters above sea level, 13 km from the Biokovo road and next to the info center. In addition to the Skywalk, a geological column was built - a three-dimensional depiction of the section of rocks forming Biokovo from its beginnings until today, with a geological time table and a description of the age and type of rocks.
