AMERIČKI glumac Bradley Cooper, osim glume, voli i gastronomiju u kojoj se u zadnjim danima ove godine odlučio i profesionalno okušati. Otvorio je restoran Danny&Coop u New Yorku, a koncept restorana je takav da nudi samo jedno jelo. Radi se o Philly Cheesesteaku - sendviču od tanko rezanog, pečenog junećeg mesa, pirjanog luka i otopljenog sira.
Već smo pisali o ovom sendviču iz Philladelphije - nastao je 1930-ih godina na uličnom kiosku, kada su braća Pat i Harry Olivieri, koji su inače prodavali hot dogove, odlučili poigrati se s tanko narezanim odrescima i dodati ih u pecivo. Kasnije je u kombinaciju došao i sir, a sendvič je s vremenom postao turistička atrakcija.

Iza imena restorana Danny&Coop stoje dva imena - Danny DiGiampietro i Bradley Cooper. DiGiampietro je vlasnik i poznate filadelfijske pizzerije Angelo's. Ovo im nije prva suradnja - prošle su zime također bili atrakcija, kada su u New Yorku organizirali pop-up food cart. Na ulici su pripremali poznati cheesesteak, a prikupljeni novac donirali su u humanitarne svrhe.
Mnogi su otvorenje restorana prenosili na društvenim mrežama. "Došla sam pred restoran sat i petnaest minuta prije otvorenja, na ulici je već bio red. Kao i svaki drugi restoran na Manhattanu, mjesto je maleno i krcato, kao da ste u noćnom klubu.

@exploringwithjaylynn Bradley Cooper is not only a good actor but a good cook apparently! Today I’m trying his Philly cheesesteak as he has a pop up over the weekend in the East village! I got there an hour and 15 minutes before they opened and there was already someone waiting for four hours! Thankfully there wasn’t a big line when I got there but it was freezing. I couldn’t even use my phone because my fingers felt like they were going to fall off. Thankfully after an hour, Bradley came out and said let’s eat! It was so busy and the space was tiny but it was worth the wait!! I loved the meat and cheese but wish there was some more cheese!
